Bill C-5 just became law with ZERO new changes. Here's what that means (it's not good)

Tonight, Bill C-5 — the bill that allows the government to fast-track major projects it deems are in the “national interest” — became law.

No new amendments were added.

That is really, really bad.

Because environmental groups and Indigenous leaders had continued to raise the alarm about major issues with the bill. They warned us that in its current form, even after some improvements through amendments in the House, it threats the environment, democracy, and Indigenous rights.

Now, this wasn’t the video I originally set out to make today. I had planned to cover another issue: the government finally emailed me back in response to a request I had made about U.S. President Donald Trump’s latest horrific attack on 2SLGBTQIA+ rights.

So in this video, we’re cover both issues.
