According to certain corners of the internet, there’s a devious Liberal conspiracy afoot: Justin Trudeau does not actually intend to resign! He’s clinging to power!
Except, you know, that’s not true.
U.S. President Donald Trump posted the claim to Truth Social yesterday. He reiterated the claim today.
Meanwhile, right-wing influencers have also gotten busy claiming Trudeau “announced” he’s not stepping down (he didn’t).
It seems like a lot of the concern is rooted in the internet’s discovery that transition periods have to happen when we get a new prime minister.
