Trump's tariffs dominate the fourth day of the election campaign

It’s the fourth full day of the Canadian election campaign, and U.S. President Donald Trump’s clearly isn’t listening to Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s pleas.

Because on Wednesday, he announced plans to slap new tariffs on auto imports next week — prompting Mark Carney to switch into prime minister mode as the issue dominated the day on the campaign trail.

Still, Poilievre managed to get an announcement out on TFSA contributions. Oh, and he and his team shared two things that required a quick fact check.

Carney, meanwhile, had a strong day dealing with the issue he polls best on: Donald Trump’s threats.
