Luke Lebrun recently broke a great story on his substack, Convoy Watch. He found out that the woman who ambushed Justin Trudeau on a B.C. ski hill recently is actually an anti-LGBTQ activist.
But after being posted to Canada’s largest Reddit forum, his article was quickly removed. When he asked why, he was given an inconsistent reason — and then he was banned.
Luke isn’t alone in noticing something weird about Canada’s biggest subreddits. CBC found odd patterns in r/Canada’s most popular posts.
It’s not just the big subreddits, either. Reporting from the St. Albert Gazette found potential Russian manipulation of small Alberta community subreddits.
I spoke to Luke about what happened to him.
