The federal leaders survived the French-language debate without major incident — for better or for worse.
The same can’t be said for the Leaders’ Debates Commission, which has been absolutely shitting the bed in an impressive number of ways.
From waiting until the last second to disqualify the Green Party (for, in part, a reason they’ve known about for more than a week) to letting a parade of right-wing losers dominate the press questions because the grifters kicked and screamed loudly enough, people are starting to ask: what is it, exactly, that you do here?
Anyways, there’s lots to chew on from last night — and a few updates that aren’t debate related. The Conservative infighting isn’t a bid to get in line for federal leadership, Ontario Premier Doug Ford says, and I’ve got a big update for you all on that scoop I reported earlier in the week.
