Hear from voices from on board the latest freedom flotilla to Gaza: the Handala

The flotilla is carrying medical supplies, prosthetics and more -- it's also carrying a feeling of hope.

A new freedom flotilla, the Handala, is about to leave for the final leg of its journey to Gaza — where it hopes to break Israel’s siege and deliver much-needed aid.

I’ve been in touch with a Canadian who has been on board. He shared images and videos from the flotilla with me, ones I’m going to share with you in today’s video.

While I looked at this documentation, it struck me that the flotilla is carrying more than just aid.

It’s carrying kindness, a spirit of warmth that pushes back against the cold injustice of what’s happening in Gaza. It might sound corny, but this refusal to give up is genuinely infectious.

The people on board are equally inspiring. In today’s video, you’ll hear from Yipeng Ge, the Canadian physician on board, and Huwaida Arraf, an original organizer of these freedom flotillas.

I also reached out to the Canadian government with a message from Yipeng on Monday — today, I got an initial response.

Let’s talk about it all.
