Why would the NDP create a situation where there would be a Conservative government? Sounds a lot like a “we destroyed the village to save it” mentality.

I want to know what's in the election interference report before any elections

Disappointed as this likely guarantees a Conservative win. I would prefer that he had waited until the inevitable Trudeau resignation and a new leader was chosen. Poilievre wants to run against Trudeau and sooner rather than later. The further we get into Trump’s first year the less attractive the Cons will look.

Interesting times! Electoral reform would have been really really nice 😬

maybe the PM will prorogue and use electoral reform as part of his throne speech 3 months down the road

I mean this is all expected, but I'm not sure I will survive years of Pierre's face if/when Cons take over

Can the Foreign Interference Report be released before Proroguing Parliament? If Jag and the BQ want a non-confidence vote to happen before it gets released, I've got ZERO confidence in their bona fides concerns for Canada in the MAGA (OG, MAPLE and otherwise) era.

The stupid is so strong it hurts!

But why wouldn't he have waited until we can see the foreign interference report? Why wouldn't he be pushing for a legislation requiring that all party leaders have security clearance in order to do their jobs?

We're facing a terrible threat and he's just hastened the consequences of it for all of us.

Anyone who has ever considered voting NDP had better vote Liberal. Imagine Poilievre happily acquiescing to any and all Trump's demands, requests, or suggestions.

My bet is that Jagmeet can be bribed once again to support the libs. They still do not have enough money to run an election and the libs have been doing quite well with fundraising. I think he's trying to see if he can muscle his way to be leader of the opposition and will fade to dark if Trudeau calls his bluff.

After the shit show that has been this week in Canadian politics I'm not remotely surprised.

Is it time to get Jagmeet-pilled?

Sadly, the leader of a political party is much like a Corporate CEO. They head an organization with a headquarters, many employees, and many financial supporters (shareholders). Polls show there is a small chance that the NDP could form the Official Opposition if an election is held soon. They would be able to contrast themselves with the Party in charge, and as it will be the Conservatives in charge, the contrast will be like night and day. Singh, in his role as CEO, has no choice in the matter, however badly it smells.
