Playing dumb is a tactic Poilievre uses often especially when talking to the media. It’s a very patronizing way of answering questions which is not becoming to anyone let alone an opposition leader.
Why are we letting politicians get away with outright lying? As the video says, he's voted on policies that deal with trans issues. "I'm not aware of any other gender" bullshit. Why is the interviewer explaining the topic to him instead of asking him why he is lying?
I can see how a politician, especially a modern conservative one, could just retain enough contempt for the public for a long enough time and become intellectually poisoned by their talking points. Like “facts don’t matter, my own beliefs don’t even matter. I just repeat the slop and they’ll eat it up”
