Why would anyone even pay more attention to Alex Jones, of all people? Yes, it's absolutely the fault that a black woman was hired as mayor (who took a badly-timed trip) and not the greedy fux like those involved in the Monterey Amendment, energy company (PG&E) who get but a scratch when found liable for conditions that greatly contribute to wildfires, or these tech turds who shove these worthless "innovations" like crypto or AI. Dont think for 1 minute that Trump doesn't believe in Climate Change. Why do you think he's interested in Canada & Greenland? He knows that we stand to benefit from warming while the USA will become a dust bowl. We have water and the Northwest passage that will become passable year round over the next decade.

Really does feel like a 9/11 for the US West Coast. A near unthinkable tragedy in the 21st century developed world, very real human factors contributing to its occurrence, and vast potential to learn a lot of wrong lessons from it.

I’d expect any serious conversation about wildfires in California (especially LA) to involve things like unnecessary urban sprawl, energy consumption, and corporate utility negligence at least.

The “commentary” you see on Musk’s Twitter is almost comical misdirection, but I wonder if we’ll see anything constructive even from more mainstream channels as we rebuild. What an omen to open up the year.

Corporate media are grifters. With climate change, as opposed to golden sneakers, the grift is on everyone who loses sight of the calamity before us, and fails to hold to account politicians, government, influential corporations, their boards, and denial influencers.
