This is not only absolutely vile as one commenter noted, it is giving me flashbacks to my grandparents and parents stories of the forced and attempted genocide of Ukrainians under Stalin. There was more than enough food, but the Ukrainians were not allowed to touch it or eat it. If they did they were killed. There are horrible stories that came out of that, cannibalism and worse. We should have progressed and not be at this point in 2025. Israelis should be fighting against this as well, looking at how many starved in concentration camps, were murdered by the Nazi's who wanted to exterminate them. The Israelis of all the peoples in the World should be better than this and they are proving not to be! It is enough. The Canadian government must denounce this and treat Israel as they treated Germany in WWII although with the caveat and reminder that Canada also turned away Jews who were fleeing the death camps. We must do better now. The response from the Israeli representative about the suffering stops when Palestinians love their children more than they hate Israel is beyond reprehensible and the most inhumane response ever.
I ignored the conflict between Israel and Palestine for decades - sheer ignorance on my part, thinking that all these two peoples do is fight. Not anymore. Enough is enough. No one in the world today should be dealing with this level of suffering put on them by another country or peoples. I cannot be blind anymore and have spent my day learning as much as I could about this conflict and the history. If anyone wants to call me an antisemitic because of my current views, they can go right ahead. I have never hated Jewish people, I do not hate them now. I feel the state of Israel and it's government is inhumane and dead wrong and has many opportunities to fix this, if they truly wanted to. I also feel that what Hamas did to start this was wrong although, with these horrific circumstances, how does Israel ever think Palestinians will forget what is being done to them now. The price is already paid. Stop this now!

I don't know what action the Canadian government might take... ? Or what individual Canadians might do (other than to write their MPs for example) ?
Also, I wonder why Middle Eastern Arab countries are doing nothing to help their brothers and sisters.
