Will be extremely funny if a Con MP gives up a seat and let Poilievre run in a by-election but he loses the by-election again, giving one more seat to the Liberals. I read that Carney doesn't have to call the by-election for 6 months. He can sit on it and let the Cons take care of Poilievre. They like to get rid of their leaders if they don't win.

Nice thought; but, if they get Cheryl Gallant (Algonquin-Pembroke-Renfrew) to give up her seat, he could be fast asleep the entire by election run and still win! They could put an 18-year old who clerks at a weed store up against the Liberals and NDP and still win in the riding I live in.

I think it's great that we have a prime minister who has a sense of humour and a sense of fun <3

I think that while I'm grateful and legitimately relieved, that sense was already more or less kind of baked in by the poll numbers prior to the election. Now, I'm grateful we have the adult in the room representing Canada in the face of MAGA/IDU induced dysfunction, but a little naseaus that PP (for BM) and his Maple MAGA "keep fear of crime and other grievances alive" messaging, amped up by Mobilize Media and Shopify Bots saw them overperform in the GTA by 10 seats. It's numbing that so many "casually informed" got sucked into voting against their own interests in Canada. But it is what it is. I also think that Mario creep may be coordinating with others in that Maple MAGA ecosystem after Jivani's "spontaneous" outburst last night. You may recall Mario was dunking on our Boss Hogg during the provincial election (when it was obvious he was going to win anyway). Jivani might take up PP's "noise machine with feet" role in the House while PP's in the cold wilderness (don't worry for him, the IDU will keep him warm).
