JD Vance's friend in Parliament is bringing Trump's DEI attacks to Canada's politics

Conservative MP Jamil Jivani is set to hold a 'National Forum to End Liberal Racism.'

When Canada elected JD Vance’s old buddy to the House of Commons, you had to know he’d get up to some weird shit.

Conservative MP Jamil Jivani hasn’t disappointed.

Most recently, he sent an invitation to the other MPs on the Hill for his event to “end Liberal racism.”

I got my hands on the invite.

“Through policies like DEI, Liberal Racism actively undermines the talents and abilities of Canadians from minority communities, while excluding many Canadians from employment opportunities and government programs,” Jivani’s email reads.

“Liberal Racism also encourages contempt for Canada’s rich history and traditions.”

What’s more, in a follow-up email rescheduling the event, Jivani ended the email with the words: “Liberal racism can run but it cannot hide”

Professional!

Anyway, to help break through this bullshit, I reached out to Michelle Grocholsky, the CEO of Toronto-based Empowered EDI — which is Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, or what Jivani is calling DEI.

Michelle told me that what worries her about events like the National Forum to End Liberal Racism is that “they often serve as a cover for deeper resistance to equality itself.”

In today’s video, we’ll talk about it all.
