The situation at the time of my visit in 2011 was desperate. Now, it is unimaginably tragic.
The inaction of governments around the world as Israel annihilates the Palestinian people is reprehensible and completely inexcusable.
Further, it is a huge mistake for people to characterize protests against Israel as anti-semitic. At this point, Israel is the perpetrator not the victim.
Thank you, Ms. Gilmore. Infuriating, touching, depressing. We should all write to our MPs, and call them and tell them over and over until this can be stopped.
How is this ?? ... we collectively recall the holocaust. There are museums; Auschwitz is a testament to the holocaust - a museum of on-site atrocities - that have a haunting presence for all who have the strength to visit and witness the site of the treachery - the absolute depth of the human race. How is it this history is no longer instructive?? That suddenly, when the Israelis are the aggressors - committing the same atrocities its ... OK??? How is that possible? Forget race, colour, language or whatever your bias is. Killing innocent civilians/children is genocide. We have learned nothing from history.
Thank you for posting this vital information. Our government needs to do more than pay lip service. Action is needed, Now!
I can’t imagine what trauma these doctors themselves have to process, and they’re the “lucky” ones.
IDF is a criminal enterprise. Netanyahu is a heinous killer, evil murderer.
Omg. I’m horrified and speechless. I’m also in awe of these healthcare workers. Oh man. Thanks for showing these stories. I’m gonna share everywhere
Thank you for talking about the important stuff and ignoring the pointless noise of the House of Commons.
I lived in the United Arab Emirates for 18 years and travelled to Ramallah in the West Bank in 2011 for a TEDx conference.
In 2014, I wrote a short blog post looking back on that trip : https://amazingsusan.com/2014/07/25/lets-talk-about-israel-and-palestine-or-not-again/

I am sickened by all of it.
Devastating Rachel. Which means we need to see and hear this all the more. Thank you for posting.
