On Monday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre shared his party’s petition to “end DEI” and “restore the merit principle.”
Yeah, the guy who had to get one of his MPs to step down so Poilievre could run in one of the safest ridings of Canada really said that.

Less than a week before that, Conservative MP Michelle Rempel Garner posted that “Canada must now place restrictions on birthright citizenship”
This all comes as the Conservatives can’t stop railing about “woke” in the House of Commons.
If it all sounds a bit Trump-y, that’s probably because…it is.
Canada’s Conservative Party is importing Trumpian politics, right down to the way they’re talking about these ideas on social media.
